About Philip

Philip Stephenson-Oliver is the current chairman of the Queen's Park and Maida Vale Conservative Association. Prior to that, he served as chairman for the prestigious Westminster North Conservative Association and was, for a time, one of the youngest conservative association chairmen in the country.

Philip has worked in the wine trade for over 10 years, collaborating with notable wine merchants and importers such as Laithwaites and Caves de Pierre Ltd. At the start of the pandemic, Philip decided to set up his own independent wine merchants, specialising in virtual and in-person wine tastings. Since then, his company, ‘Wine Tasting Adventures,’ has gone from strength to strength and is currently the highest-rated wine merchants on Trustpilot.

He is a serving soldier in the Honourable Artillery Company, the oldest regiment in the British army and an extremely active reserve unit. Originally, Philip intended to be deployed as part of Operation Elgin in Kosovo but has delayed his deployment until after the General election. He has served in the King's Opening of Parliament gun salute, The Lord Mayor Show, and numerous state visits by heads of state.

He stood as a local council candidate for the Lancaster Gate ward in the Westminster City Council elections for the Conservative Party in May 2022.

Philip volunteers in a number of charities, including the local Friends of St Mary's Hospital and suicide prevention charities.
